Identification signs include:
- the tip of the young shoot has a slight to moderate coat of flat-lying hairs,
- the young leaves are green with bronze patches,
- the adut leaves are whole or with 3 lobes with a U or V-shaped petiolar sinus, open or slightly open, teeth with straight sides, moderate or long compared to width at base; absence of anthocyanin coloration of veins, a twisted leaf blade and the underside with a slight to moderate coat of upright and flat-lying hairs,
- round-shaped berries with a pink uneven skin color.

This fertile and productive vine must be short pruned.
Sensitivity to diseases and pests
Rosé du Var Rs is very susceptible to grey rot.
Technological potential
The grape clusters and berries are large. Rosé du Var Rs produces white or barely tinted white wines, flat with a low alcohol degree. With blends, it can be used for making rosé wines.
