Description
Identification signs include :
- slightly bronze young leaves,
- the skin of the berries is practically green up until the ripening period and a colored pulp at maturity.

Suitability for cultivation and agronomic production
The potential of this vine variety are close to those of other types of coloring Gamay varieties or Gamay N.
Sensitivity to diseases and pests
Gamay de Bouze N behavior toward diseases and pests is similar to  Gamay N.
Technological potential
Grape clusters are small and the berries are small to moderate size. The wines produced are colorful (less than Gamay Fréaux N but much more than Gamay N). they are less fruity than wines produced from Gamay N.
Clonal selection in France
The 2 approved Gamay de Bouze N clones carry the numbers 223 and 431. A conservatory with 30 or so clones was set up in 2006 in the vienyards in the Rhône region.
