This variety has been found in Corsica for a long time and would seemingly be from Italy (Tuscany).

There is no officially recognized synonym in France, nor in other countries in the European Union.

Description
Identification signs include:
- the tip of the young shoot has a sparse to moderate coat of flat-lying hairs,
- the young leaves are reddish and bronze color,
- adult leaves are 3 or 5-lobed, with a slightly open petiolar sinus, long teeth with straight sides, an absence of anthocyanin pigmentation and the underside with an absnece or very sparse coat of upright hairs and a very sparse caot of flat-lying hairs,  
- the berries are round or slightly flattened, slightly muscat flavor with a bluish black skin when ripe.

Phenology
Bud burst: 2 days after Chasselas. Grape maturity: period II, 2 weeks after Chasselas.
Suitability for cultivation and agronomic production
This variety is fairly fertile and has good vigor. It has upright growth and can be trained and short pruned. It is recommended for hot and dry land.
Sensitivity to diseases and pests
Aléatico N is very sensitive to powdery mildew, grey rot and acid rot.
Technological potential
The clusters and berries are moderate size. This variety with its mucat aromas has good sugar accumulation in the berries and satisfactory total acidity. It makes wines with a lively, shiny but not very intense color. It would appear well adapted for making natural sweet wines. the muscat flavor is oftentimes slight and sometimes fleeting.
